Step 1: How to get to the website to download VPN

• Go to website remote.swatservice.com (Please make sure you are not connected to main office internet when you try to use VPN)

• A login screen will appear. Please put in credentials provided to you by the IT Department.

• After logging in, you will get a website to go to. Please copy and paste the website into a new window and follow the instructions.

Step 2: Setting up Two Factor Authentication for VPN from link

• You will reach this screen, please press “Start Setup".

• You will be prompted about the device you are adding, please pick “Mobile Phone” then press “Continue".

• You will end up on this next screen, please put in your phone number.

• You will get to this screen to call or text, please press “text” and put the 6-digit pin into the blank.

• You will end up on this screen, please press “Finish Enrollment".

Step 3: Getting the download

• Once you are done with Two Factor Authentication, please go back to remote.swatservice.com and login with the credentials given to you. You will get prompted with this screen. Please press 1 if you have setup Duo, press 2 if you want a phone call with a code, or Press 3 if you want a text with the code. Press “Enter” after choosing. In the same box, enter the code once you receive it.

• You have made it to the download, you will get a screen below. Please press “Download for Windows” and it should automatically download. You should see it pop up once it is finished. If you do not, check your downloads folder if you do not see the download.

• What the download should look like after it has fully downloaded.

Step 4: Installation of VPN

• Once fully downloaded, you will get a setup screen. Please press “Next".

• You will get to a license agreement screen, please press “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” then press “Next".

• You will get to the installation screen, press “Install”.

• When you press the “Install” button, a UAC prompt will appear or admin credentials. If admin credentials come up, please contact the IT department by emailing help@swatservice.com or by going to the website swat.freshdesk.com to submit a ticket for them to type it in. If a UAC prompt comes up, please put a reason for elevation in the box. IT will get a notification to approve it, if it does not get approved, please contact IT.

Step 5: How to use it Everyday

• Once it is fully installed, this is how you will access it when you need to type in “Cisco AnyConnect” and pin it to your taskbar. After pinned, press it and it should show a pop up like this:

• Using the picture above, make sure “remote.swatservice.com” is in the blank box. Press “Connect” and the next box should show up to sign in. Use the credentials IT supplied to you.

• Once you have logged in, you will get a new box for two factor authentication. Like before, press 1, 2, or 3 of your preferred method of authentication to get in. Once you are logged in, you should be connected to the VPN.
