The issue with opening files was because of the character count in File Explorer. The max characters shown on the top bar like the screenshot below:
Can only use up to 256 characters, characters include spaces and dashes. What is advised is to take away spaces and dashes to lower the character count. Or to move the files into a new folder that has less characters. After you reach 256 characters, you cannot do any changes in the File Explorer to the affected files. You will need to go to the Sharepoint site to move the files into the new folders or places where you want to put them. I highly advise making short folder paths so when being descriptive on the file it does not go over the character count. If you have any issues or questions please contact us and we can help in any way.
